Bows, Bows & Bows

BowsWhether it’s compound bows or all kinds of bows I know that when it’s time to boy hunting supplies and accessories there’s nowhere better than My Discount Archery Store. The prices, service and quality make for a great buying experience. The fast and easy shipping just add to the overall benefit of shopping with you guys.

I’m thankful that I get to avoid the dip-sticks in the sporting goods stores around here. At least the ones that are still in business since Wal-Mart moved in. I don’t know what’s worse, that these major deep discount stores put smaller businesses out of business or the fact that it’s now impossible to buy almost anything that isn’t cheap, low-quality plastic.

More Than Just Great Prices

Bow and ArrowsAs I continue to do business with you guys I am increasingly impressed with not only the quality of the products and the competitive prices. See, when I go to normal sporting goods stores it can be really difficult to find good quality hunting supplies. That includes all types of bows, arrows and more. The problem for me is that when I hunt I need a very specific type of arrow.

With the wealth of knowledge you guys have it was very easy for me to find exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it. No more having to duel with some high-school clerk who couldn’t care less if he was selling arrows or home décor. Good service is a plus and you guys have it down!

A little Bow Hunting Background for Those Interested

Bow HunterBecome a better bow hunter with quality bow equipment and accessories!

In contrast to a rifle hunter, who may shoot effectively from ranges in excess of 200 yards (about 180 m), archers will usually restrict shots to 45 yards or less (typically at 20-25 yards), depending on factors such as individual ability, the target animal, draw weight etc. Hunters restrict their shooting range in order to ensure quick kills. Because archers must be much closer to their target animal, bowhunting is a unique experience, with special attention paid to the animal’s sense of smell, hearing and sight. This limit on effective range and greater degree of hunter-prey interaction create an intimacy that some hunters find very attractive.

Bow hunting for fish is appropriately called bowfishing. Many variations on standard archery equipment including the addition of a line attached to either a spool or a reel as well as a specially designed arrow make bowfishing effective. Archers need to take into account the refraction angle of their target when releasing their arrow making sure to aim below their target’s apparent position as the water gives a false indication of the actual position of the fish.

Today, compound bows are usually preferred for hunting, although recurve bows are not uncommon and usually legal. Longbows are usually quieter than more modern types, and are often used by those who want to make the hunting experience as traditional as possible. Crossbows are often permitted for disabled hunters because the shooter does not have to hold back any of the draw weight of the bow.

Cherokee Jake Turkey DecoyI was thrilled to see your selection of decoys, especially this Cherokee Jake Turkey Decoy.  These can be pretty hard to find and even harder to find at the right price.  Once again I’m glad I’ve come across your little stroe and am getting all of my gear together for the season.  For just over twenty bucks you can’t beat this one.

Again you haven’t let me down on the shipping either.  It’s fast, affordable and ultra-convenient.  No more retail shopping for my gear.  I get twice as much for less right here.  I’m a dedicated convert for sure.

discountarchery3.jpgI’m pretty accustomed to paying way too much for a good rangefinder, but not anymore.  When it comes to names like Bushnell and Nikon a lot of stores jack the prices up as high as they can.  Unfortunately I still need to be economical when buying hunting equipment so I don’t have the time or money to deal with overpriced sporting goods.

Thankfully, though, you guys have all the rangefinders a sportsman could ever need and I don’t have to break the bank.

Lighted nocks, affordable and ingenious.

discountarchery2.jpgI don’t know what I was doing before I started using these super-long life lighted nocks.  With forty hours of life finding game and retrieving arrows has never been so easy.  No more watching my arrow run off into the dark or fog, never to be seen again (by me anyway).

And the price is low enough that I don’t have to worry about the unlikely event of losing one.  My sporting goods store charges more than twice this for their lighted nocks and they only stay lit for 18 hours.  Thanks guys!

Saved hundreds.

discountarchery1.jpgJust got done doing the first portion of my seasonal shopping for hunting and archery supplies and I saved a ton of money.  I had no idea you guys even existed.  I’ve been paying the sporting goods store a ridiculous amount of money every year for years.  And even then I was getting sub-par products at incredible mark-ups.  Looking back I can really kick myself for being so gullible.

But, the savings I get from you, along with the convenience of shopping in one place, makes me happy enough to forget overpaying for so long.  All of my arrows, sights and camo clothing were affordable and I’m ecstatic!
